College Credit Plus

Ohio’s College Credit Plus (CCP) can help students earn college and high school credits at the same time by taking college courses from a local college or university.

The purpose of this program is to promote rigorous academic pursuits and to provide options to college-ready students.

Taking a College Credit Plus course from a public college or university is free - there is no cost for tuition, books, or fees. If students attend a private college or university, there may be limited costs.

To learn more about the process of applying and participating in the College Credit Plus program, see the CCP Steps for Heights High.

Interested students and their families should complete the Intent to Participate form and submit it to the Ms. Searcy in the Guidance Department by April 1.

Families also need to complete the CCP Contract to participate in the program.

The Guidance Department hosted a meeting for parents on February 12. See the slide show presented by representatives from Kent State Univeristy.

See the Ohio Department's Ohio College Credit Plus information.
