Credit Flex Program

The Credit Flexibility Program or Credit Flex is an alternative way for students to earn high school credits.

Students in the program can earn high school credit using options that include: online courses, independent study, internships, service learning, research-based projects, dual credit college-high school programs (College Credit Plus), distance learning, educational travel and testing out or demonstrating mastery learning in specific course content.

Enrollment in the Credit Flex program should begin with the student and or parent discussing the option with a teacher or counselor.

The next step is to design a Proposed Learning Plan and complete the Credit Flexibility Application.

Deadlines:

April 30 - for summer or following first semester participation

November 30 - for second semester participation

Applications must originate with the student’s school counselor and be received and approved by the Credit Flexibility Committee prior to completing any credit flexibility options.

More details about the Credit Flex Program see the Credit Flexibility Guidelines.
