The CH-UH District offers summer programs for Heights High students and has also compiled a list of programs offered by CH-UH Partners and Community Organizations, all are listed below.
The deadline for CHUH summer program registration is May 26.
Heights High Summer School Courses
Summer School – Credit Recovery
Summer School courses in math, English, science and social studies are offered for students in grades 9-12 who have not been successful in one of the courses that are required for graduation and end of course exams. These courses offer additional support for students who need to pass the required courses. Students will receive credit recovery instruction in the core subject areas.
June 12-July 20, tuition fee
Summer School – Initial Credit
Physical Education courses are available for any high school student. Students can receive all of the physical education requirements if they take both of the courses. Or, student can receive half of the required physical education requirement by taking one of the courses.
Students who complete the summer Health course will receive the semester Health credit that is required for graduation.

Summer School – OGT Prep
This course provides preparation for students who need to pass all or part of the OGT in order to graduate.

Summer School – OST Prep
This course provides preparation for students who need to pass all or part of the OST.
July 10-13, free
Algebra Bridge Program
This course is for high school students who want to strengthen their understanding of fundamental math and algebraic concepts to provide a solid foundation for success in Algebra 1. It is also offered to middle school students.
July 24-August 16, tuition fee
The AP Bootcamp
This course is for students who will be enrolled in an AP class during the 2017-2018 school year. The course will help students develop skills to be successful in AP courses.

Summer Programs Offered by Community Partners:
Cleveland Museum of Natural, iD Tech Camps, Performing Arts programs at Playhouse Square and Tri-C, CSU Confucius Institute Chinese Bridge program for students who have studied Chinese and want to travel to China, Great Lakes Science Center and Lake Erie Ink.
Aviation Careers Camp: June 19-23, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Hopkins International Airport
This camp is for students entering grades 8-12 who want to learn more about careers in aviation. Activities include: build model aircrafts, field trips to aviation universities, meet aviation professionals, fly a flight simulator and be a passenger in an airplane. Lunch included.
Requirements: 2.5 GPA, write a short essay why you want to be in the camp. A letter of recommendation, if possible.
