Cleveland Heights High School was one of five high schools from across the nation to be featured in an article “Good Schools Can Happen” from the August 27 issue of Parade Magazine. Parade Magazine is a national publication that is inserted in over 370 newspapers across the country every week. Locally, it is inserted in every issue of the Sunday Plain Dealer.
Heights High Parent/Community Liaison Joy Henderson was interviewed for the story that discusses how parent and community engagement were used to benefit the growth of the Small Schools transformation.
The goal of Small Schools is to improve student achievement – to increase the number of students who graduate, attend college, score well on standardized tests, take the most advanced classes available, participate in leadership programs, and view school as an engaging place to learn.
