About Oxford Elementary School

Student achievement is the number one goal at Oxford, as reflected in our current ‘Effective’ rating by the State of Ohio.  The Oxford staff is committed to working with one another, parents, and students to form powerful partnerships that raise student achievement.

Oxford School is housed in a beautiful brick Tudor-style building.  The interior, which was renovated during the summer of 2000, features two historic Works Progress Administration murals.  The school has a magnificently landscaped courtyard named after former principal Winston Adams. Our school mascot is the Oxford Owl, which symbolizes the wise choices students are encouraged to make.

Our students are encouraged to be role models for each other, and regular recognition is given to those who have been well-behaved and responsible.   We want all students to grow up to become productive citizens who are able to contribute to our community. This type of role model behavior is reinforced through our school-wide ticket plan, which enables each classroom to earn tickets when they are seen exhibiting role model behavior by the principal.
