Chartwells School Dining at CH-UH City Schools
Students in the Cleveland Heights-University Heights City School District will see an array of healthy food choices in the cafeteria during the school year. Chartwells school lunch program is placing a greater emphasis on freshness, variety, and serving nutritious meals that are appealing to students. Together the District and Chartwells School Dining Services serve over one million breakfasts and lunches annually to District students.
The District’s wellness plan furthers the commitment to enhance the lives of students, not only academically, but physically as well. A nutritious diet plays a key role in the health and well-being of students and the furthering of their achievements.
Chartwells’ comprehensive approach to wellness will be implemented throughout the District, which include nutritional food standards, nutrition education, and physical activity goals that promote a healthy school environment. At the elementary level, nutrition and physical activity are introduced to focus on the importance of a balanced diet and exercise. The secondary level is taking an approach to good nutrition by featuring menu items such as freshly prepared salads and sandwiches.
The District is committed to providing your child with quality meals that will be nutritionally complete, appealing, satisfying, and modest in cost.
