Oct. 15, 2018 -- The Bond Accountability Commission (BAC) took a site visit to Monticello Middle School earlier this month to see first-hand the progress made on the renovations to the building. Specifically, the BAC reviewed work on two aspects of the renovation. First, the group inspected the condition of the flooring on the third level of the building. During demolition, the construction crew discovered that the flooring was in worse shape than originally expected.

Oct. 15, 2018 -- The CH-UH Board of Education discussed the District’s Master Facilities Plan (MFP) at its most recent regular meeting on Oct. 2. Specifically, the Board discussed the District’s upcoming work to evaluate Phase II of the MFP.
July 23, 2018 -- While most CH-UH buildings are relatively empty during the summer months, Monticello and Roxboro middle schools are currently buzzing with activity as renovations are in full swing at each site.

May 25, 2018 -- The newly-renovated Heights High School building has earned LEED Gold certification. LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, certification is a globally recognized symbol of sustainability achievement. Heights High earned 63 points out of a possible 110, to achieve the second-highest level of certification.

April 5, 2018 -- Karpinski Engineering won an Outstanding Achievement Award for their contributions to the newly-renovated Heights High School, which reopened last August. KE provided mechanical, electrical, technology, and lighting design; security engineering; and energy modeling for the project.
