Ohio Achievement Assessment (OAA) - Tuesday, October 7

Students in third grade will take the Ohio Achievement Assessment (OAA) in Reading on Tuesday, October 7. The OAA is a standardized test meeting the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) requirements.

The Ohio Department of Education has many resources, including practice tests for parents to help their children do their best. Students should get plenty of sleep and eat a healthy breakfast on test day. See helpful resources.

NCLB is a United States Act of Congress that is a re-authorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, which included Title I, the government's flagship aid program for disadvantaged students. NCLB supports standards-based education reform based on the premise that setting high standards and establishing measurable goals can improve individual outcomes in education.
