CTE Opportunities On Display December 2

Nov. 29, 2016 -- Heights High sophomores will visit the Career and Technical Education fair during their Social Studies class on December 2 to learn about the many CTE opportunities available to 11th and 12th grade students.

Students can gather information and talk with students who are currently enrolled in these programs. The student ambassadors will answer questions and explain their specific programs to those in attendance.

The CTE program includes 13 options that offers both a strong academic and technical education. The courses are offered to juniors and seniors through the Tri-Heights Career Prep Consortium - schools in the collaboration include Cleveland Heights, Shaker Heights, and Warrensville Heights high schools. Career and Technical Education courses provide training in a designated skill, regular academic classes and many of the courses include college credit and/or a certification that can lead to employment.
