All CH-UH staff will participate in Professional Development on Friday, January 13, but students will not attend school. The schools will be closed on Monday, January 16 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Several community events honor and celebrate the work of Dr. King:
The City of Cleveland Heights is planning a celebration of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. on Jan. 16. The event will take place at the Cleveland Heights Community Center at 7 p.m.
The MLK branch of the Cleveland Public Library will host guest speaker Pastor Shawn Braxton at 1 p.m., free.
The Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage’s Hear Our Voices program, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m., free. Includes photographs from the Civil Rights Movement and music.
