Aviva is one of two seniors selected to solo this year and has been a musician since she was in preschool. She began piano lessons in the first grade, played clarinet and switched to bassoon in middle school.

In high school, Aviva became principal bassoon player in the Heights High Symphony and the Symphonic Winds. She plays trumpet in the marching band and joined The Jazz Band her senior year.

Aviva has been a member of the Cleveland Youth Wind Symphony and the Contemporary Youth Orchestra (CYO.) She has been CYO’s principal bassoon player for the past three years and was awarded the John and Nicole Clouser Bassoon Chair for her junior year. In tenth grade, Aviva joined the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra (COYO) and is the co-principal bassoon player.

After graduation, Aviva plans on continuing her musical studies in hopes to become a conductor.

Both the April 27 and 29 concerts will be hosted in the auditorium of the Cleveland Heights High School Wiley Campus at 2181 Miramar and will be preceded by a Chamber Ensemble Recital at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets, available the day of the shows, are $3 for students and $5 for adults. Parking is available in the school parking lot as well as on the other side of Miramar Boulevard (accessible from the University Square shopping area).
