Before the Staff vs Student Dodgeball Game, both sides face off in preparation for the fun event. The staff team won, but everyone had a great time.

May 23, 2016 --The two final Gotcha Card events took place in May. The May 13 Students vs Staff Dodgeball game and the Lunchtime Cookout was on May 18.

Students can earn a Gotcha Card for achievement in four areas: academics, character, behavior or attendance.

Of the 236 students who earned a Gotcha Card in April, 50 student names were drawn for a T-shirt and 14 names were drawn to receive an invitation to play in the Staff vs Students Dodgeball Game.

In the first week of May, 171 students earned a Gotcha Card and 100 students names were drawn for a T-shirt and were invited to the Lunchtime Cookout. The Gotcha Card program will start up again in September.

The Dodgeball game included some fierce but friendly competition. While the students showed great speed and energy, the staff team worked as a well-oiled team and won the game.

The May Gotcha event was a Lunchtime Cookout in the schools courtyard with Celebrity Chef Principal Ross at the BBQ.

The menu also included grilled hot dogs, baked beans, fruit salad, potato chips, cookies, and a choice of lemonade or iced tea.

The February winners enjoyed a Pizza Party, the March prize was the fancy breakfast.

The end of year grand prizes Gotcha Card will include laptops and Beat headphones.

The Gotcha committee members plan the events: Jacqueline Blockson, Kristin Dadas, Zoraba Ross, and Caryl Yoo.
