CH-UH to Hold Community Meeting for Middle Schools Project

Feb. 22, 2016 – The Cleveland Heights-University Heights City School District will hold a community architectural visioning meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 24, to gather input regarding the Monticello and Roxboro Middle Schools renovation project.

The meeting, which is open to the public, will begin at 6 p.m. at the Heights High cafeteria on the Wiley campus (2181 Miramar Blvd, University Heights).

Childcare will be provided, and light refreshments will be available.

Architects and designers from Moody Nolan, the architectural firm chosen to design the middle schools project, will be on hand to guide the session with community members.

Moody Nolan held a similar visioning session with staff and students from both Monticello and Roxboro last month.

The construction work at Monticello and Roxboro is slated to begin in 2017 following the completion of the renovations at Heights High School. The District recently began the design phase of the middle school project. Turner Construction and The Coniglio Company were chosen as the CMR (Construction Manager at Risk) for the project.

The renovation of Heights High and the middle schools serves as Phase 1 of the CH-UH District’s Master Facilities Plan. Phase 2, which would require a future bond issue passed by voters, would include renovations of the elementary schools in the district.
