The District has begun the hiring process for the Director of Career/Technical Education & Partnership Specialist.
The listing was posted in early February, and initial screenings will continue through mid-March.
The first rounds of interviews are scheduled for March 18, March 23 and March 24.
The second round is slated for March 25 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Board of Education and is open to the public. The administrative team will have selected two strong finalists; because selecting the right leadership for our students, staff and families is one of the most important decisions a school district can make, community members and students are encouraged to attend this interview.
If you would like to observe or participate on March 25, please arrive by 5:45 p.m. A group discussion will immediately follow the interviews. All input will be considered. A final selection will be made by Superintendent Dr. Dixon.
The responsibilities of the Director of CTE include, but are not limited to: administering the instruction program, encouraging program innovations, recruiting students, monitoring testing, pursuing funding opportunities, managing human resource activities, and creating a five-year strategic plan for CTE.
The interview team includes: Allison Byrd - Director of Data, Research and Assessment; Dr. Andrea Celico, Assistant Superintendent; Dr. Jeff Johnston, Director of Student Services; Paul Lombardo, Director of Human Resources; Deborah Moore, Monticello Middle School Principal; Zoraba Ross, Administrative High School Principal; Angee Shaker, Director of Communications; Sandy Womack, Director of Curriculum and Instruction; a CTE community member; and a CTE teacher.
