Heights Lacrosse’s Lauren Iott, Senna Perelman Honored

L-R: Lauren Iott and Senna Perelman

July 17, 2018 -- Heights lacrosse senior Lauren Iott was recognized as a 2018 All-American and was also awarded the prestigious Jackie Pitts Award for service to the sport in the North Coast region of Ohio.

Iott was a second team all-state honoree. She and junior Senna Perelman were both named first team all-district.

Iott and Perelman tied for the team lead with 57 goals apiece in 2018. Perelman led the Tigers with 21 assists, while Iott finished with 17.

Heights finished the 2018 season 8-10-1. The Tigers lose Iott to graduation but expect to return the remainder of their goal scorers and all but one of their defenders next season.

Iott received a scholarship to play collegiately at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan.

According to US Lacrosse, the Jackie Pitts Award recognizes a senior player in each area who goes above and beyond in service to her team, school, and community. An athlete who truly honors the game of lacrosse, is invested in the development of the game in her community, and is an exemplary member of her team. This player exemplifies the fundamentals of lacrosse, works hard to improve her game, and exemplifies the spirit of the game both on and off the field. Academically, she is an outstanding student and a valued role model in her school.

Iott was honored at a ceremony at Ohio State on June 9. She is below pictured with US Lacrosse North Coast Chapter President Drew Roggenburk.
