Heights High Baseball July Player/Parent/Coaches Meeting

Heights High baseball players huddle

July 20, 2018

Greetings to all returning and incoming Heights Baseball Players and Families,

Each year there are three informational/organizational meetings for the Heights Baseball Program. The first meeting will be held on Thursday, July 26, at 7:00 p.m. at the Lee Road Heights Library (Meeting Room A).  Subsequent meetings will be held in late October and in late January/early February.

The purpose of the meetings is to keep all players and parents informed and engaged, as much as possible, in the many baseball activities available year round. Now that summer baseball has ended for most teams, it is time to look ahead to Fall Baseball and other related opportunities.

The agenda for the July 26th meeting will include:
1.  Meet incoming freshmen baseball players and parents:  FRESHMEN: Please spread the word about this meeting. We did not receive contact information for all 2018 MS baseball players.
2.  Update/Verify all player and parent contact information
3.  Review OHSAA Regulations regarding Fall Baseball for HS Players
4.  Registration for South Euclid Fall Baseball--1 weeknight game/1 Saturday AM game late Aug-early October//$100
5. Information about other Fall Baseball options—Sunday Only leagues–designed for players in a Fall HS Sport
6.  Schedule for Long Toss/Open Field activities in October-mid November (weather dependent)
7.  Final Forms Website–replaces paper copies of the many forms required for participation in HS Athletics
8.  New Program:  Supplemental Baseball Team Tryouts–Dates/Times/Locations will be announced as soon as confirmed
9.  NEW HEIGHTS BASEBALL FIELD–Construction Plans and Update
10.  You have questions? We have answers!

I look forward to seeing you on July 26. In the meantime (or anytime) do not hesitate to call, text, or email me on any matter related to CHHS Baseball.
