Khaliah Watts Named Head Volleyball Coach At Heights High

Khaliah Watts

April 18, 2018 -- Heights High School has named Khaliah Watts its new head volleyball coach.

Watts has plenty of high school and club coaching experience in Northeast Ohio. She was the head coach at Shaker Heights High School from 2009-14 and recently led the Bedford High program in 2017. She also coaches with the Cleveland Volleyball Company (CVC) club program.

“We are excited to have Khalia lead our volleyball program” said Athletic Director Joe D’Amato. “Her vision of building a program from the youth level on up matched what we are looking for in all our programs. Her experience as a player collegiately at Cleveland State will certainly benefit our players looking to compete at that next level. Having coached in the Lake Erie League and knowing what it takes to compete will allow her to hit the ground running.”

Watts is a 1997 graduate of Shaker Heights High School. She went on to play collegiately at the Division I level at Cleveland State. She earned her bachelor's degree in communications from CSU in 2002.
