July 31, 2017 -- Heights High alum Vant Lammers ('07) won the men's Olympic Division race at the 31st annual Cleveland Triathlon on Sunday, July 23.
Lammers won in a time of 1:54:56. The triathlon featured more than 700 participants over multiple divisions. The course began and finished at North Coast Harbor, with much of the biking and running on the Memorial Shoreway.
Lammers was active in athletics at Heights High, running on the track and cross country teams while also playing soccer. After graduating from Heights in 2007, Lammers went on to earn his bachelors degree in actuary science from Ohio State. He now works in heath care information technology in Madison, Wisconsin.
Lammers' mother, Joy Henderson, works at Heights High as the Parent and Community Liaison.
