Dream, Build, Share logo

June 6, 2017 -- The Heights Libraries are celebrating the University Heights branch renovation with this year’s summer reading theme, “Dream, Build, Share!” Children of all ages, birth through middle school, can sign up by visiting any library branch. Every child who signs up will get to choose a book to keep! Visit heightslibrary.org for more info!

For kids

Children grades K–8 can complete their own log and activity sheet to receive raffle tickets. The reading log takes 30 days to complete and children can complete more than one to earn movie, book, gamer, or food-themed prizes. Children can also receive additional raffle tickets by completing special activities, such as performing an act of kindness, and attending summer reading events at any branch.

For teens

Calling all high school students! Sign up at any branch starting June 1 and get one free copy of March: Book Three by Congressman John Lewis, and get the chance to win a Mac’s Backs Goodies Basket or a Kindle Fire. After you finish, return with a letter explaining the effect this book had on you and your impression of the Civil Rights era. This letter may be displayed in the library or mailed to Congressman Lewis. All participants may choose an alternative book, but are required to return a review form to receive a raffle ticket. You may also attend a teen program to receive another raffle ticket.
