Swim Team Hosts Alumni Meet

Heights High School Natatorium pool

Nov. 17, 2017 -- The Heights High School swimming and diving teams will host their annual Black & Gold Meet on Tuesday, November 21, 6 p.m.

Traditionally an intersquad meet that serves as practice prior to the competition season, this year’s event also features a celebration of the opening of the new natatorium and a reunion for team alumni.

The meet will begin with an opening ceremony and recognition of alumni, current team members, and participants in the youth program.

Alumni are invited to swim in the meet and non-swimming alumni are encouraged to also attend and reconnect with former team members.

Additionally, members of the Heights Tigersharks, the Cleveland Heights Recreation swim team, are invited to swim, as the 2017 Black & Gold Meet showcases the past, present and future of competitive swimming in the Heights.

An after-party will be held at the Wine Spot, 2271 Lee Road, where alumni can mingle and share stories of their glory days.

The natatorium is located at the newly-renovated high school, 13263 Cedar Road, in Cleveland Heights. It is diagonally across the building from the site of the former pool on the northwest corner of the building near the football stadium, accessible from Washington Boulevard.

The 2017 Black & Gold Meet is free and open to the public. Team alumni and their families are asked to RSVP by Fri.day November 17. To RSVP, or for more information, please email coach Dan Budin.
