Classes See Science in Action at Airport

Nov. 15, 2017 -- Students in Mr. Russell’s class at Boulevard Elementary School and Mrs. Meese’s class at Canterbury Elementary visited the Cuyahoga County Airport at the end of their physical science unit. They learned how planes use force to get off the ground and travel through the air and were able to sit in the cockpit and see the controls that pilots used. They learned about the different parts of the plane. The students even watched a couple of jets land on the runway. The pilots waved to the classes as they were towed off of the runway.

"Our classes would like to Thank Mrs. Linda Herman and T and G Flying school for taking the time to show the kids all about airplanes," said Boulevard Intervention Specialist Dan Russell. "It was a once in a lifetime opportunity for the students to see how their class lessons are used everyday in the real world!"
