Oct. 13, 2017 (Cleveland.com) -- Heights High senior defensive end Tyreke Smith, one of the most highly-recruited players in the country, plans to announce his college choice in January at the Under Armour All-America game.
The 6-foot-4, 260-pound senior from Cleveland Heights took a symbolic step last Friday toward that decision when he received his honorary jersey for the national showcase event, scheduled for Jan. 4, 2018 in Orlando, Fla.
Under Armour is amid a three-month tour in which it presents jerseys to the 100-plus players selected for the event.
Smith exploded onto the scene just more than a year ago when he began to receive Division I college offers before playing a down of high school football.
