Nancy Peppler Joins District as Supervisor of Community and School Partnerships

Nancy Peppler

Oct. 9, 2018 -- The CH-UH City School District welcomes Nancy Peppler as its new Supervisor of Community and School Partnerships. In this role, she will be implementing the recommendations from the Community in Schools Task Force. The Task Force presented their recommendation to the Board of Education in May.

Peppler will be cataloging existing partnerships, identifying gaps based on school, student and community needs, developing new partnerships, and assessing the effectiveness of those partnerships. She will be reaching out to building leadership to discuss the project and to gather information on existing partnerships. Her short-term goal is to complete the cataloging of all existing partnerships by January 2019.

"Our community is lucky to have such an abundance of incredible resources right here in our neighborhood, from health and wellness, to arts, sciences and beyond. I look forward to helping add even more value to our already existing partnerships and creating new ones," Peppler said.

Nancy will be working closely with Superintendent Dr. Talisa Dixon, Supervisor of Student Services Karen Liddell-Anderson, Supervisor of Federal Programs and Grants Sue Pardee and Supervisor of Communications Scott Wortman to fully develop wraparound services for our schools.

"Providing wraparound services to students is one of the main objectives of our district's five-year strategic plan, because it helps eliminate barriers to learning and opens the door even further for student success," Dr. Dixon said. "I am excited to see Nancy lead the charge in this innovative effort."

Nancy holds a B.A. in Psychology and an M.S.S.A. from Case Western Reserve University and has worked in mental health, foster care, developmental disabilities, and advocacy in Cleveland, Washington D.C. and Chicago. She previously served as a member of the CH-UH Board of Education from 2008 to 2015.

Please direct any inquiries about new partnerships to Nancy. She can be reached at 216-320-2207 or [email protected].
