Heights Athletics Rebrands With New Nike Uniforms

Heights High School student-athletes

Jan. 8, 2019 -- The Heights Tigers have been sporting a fresher, sleeker look lately thanks to the Athletic Department’s recent partnership with Nike.

Each of the 23 varsity sports will have been outfitted in new uniforms over the past two years once baseball receives their new threads this spring. Five of these teams have received new uniforms at no cost to Heights thanks to Nike.

Some of the teams have fundraised to purchase extra uniforms beyond the traditional home and away versions provided by the Athletic Department. The football team featured four new uniforms this past fall, including black, white, gold, and gray versions, while the boys basketball team has three options to wear this winter due to the team’s fundraising efforts.

The new Nike uniforms feature consistent branding with a script “H” and script “Heights” while also using the district’s tiger logo.

“We have raised the bar for Heights Athletics,” said Athletic Director Joe D’Amato. “There is no better way to tell the student-athletes they are valued then outfitting them in uniforms they are proud to wear. Our new branding and Nike uniforms are first-class, and that is what our students deserve. The way Heights teams show up on game day has created a buzz in the community and in Northeast Ohio.

“Competing as a student-athlete is not easy. The uniforms and equipment used by our student-athletes should not be an obstacle for participation or success.”

As new uniforms are purchased, the used uniforms are then cycled down through the system to junior varsity teams and middle school teams.
