Oct. 3, 2018 -- Kids and teens can find homework help, yoga classes and more this month at Heights Libraries.
 
For Kids:

Homework Helpers
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4-5 p.m., at the Lee Road branch, 2345 Lee Road
Need help with your homework or a class project? Want some quiet time to read by yourself or with a friend? We're here for you, just drop on in! Grades K-5.

LAF: Animaniacs (Anime/Manga) Club
Wednesdays, 3:30 p.m. at the Noble Branch, 2800 Noble Road
Dive into the world of Japanese animation and storytelling every Wednesday after school. Kids in grades K-5 will be able to view episodes, read manga, and create their own comics or drawings in the Japanese style. Super fans and newbies welcome!

Author and Illustrator Fan Mailing
Wednesday, Oct. 3, 3:30 p.m. at the University Heights branch, 13866 Cedar Road
Write a heartfelt letter to your favorite author or illustrator. Send a drawing of your favorite character. Ship them a pair of your lightly worn lucky socks! Okay, that is going too far, but we are happy to help send the letters and pictures. Library staff will provide envelopes, stamps and paper.

For Teens:

Yoga for Teens
Wednesday, Oct. 10, 4 p.m.
Kanela Booker is a yoga instructor whose message focuses on personal empowerment and self-worth. All teens are welcome to try this mindful exercise. Please wear comfortable clothes, practice safely, and listen to your body.

Teen Library Council
Thursday, Oct. 18, 3:30 p.m. at the Lee Road branch, 2345 Lee Road
Are you a teen interested in making a difference in your community? Start right here at your library by sharing thoughts and ideas about how to make our community better. Teens who want to participate in TLC must turn in a completed application by Sat, Sept. 8, 2018. For ages 13-18.
