Students Produce Teen Talk Show

Teen Talk Video

March 22, 2019 -- Juniors in the Digital Video Production program at Heights have produced a talk show.  The students learned the steps in producing a show from development to distribution.

They learned how to do research on a story, write questions for interviews, videotape the interviews and put the project together using Adobe Premiere Pro editing software.  The students had to wear several hats, understanding that in the ever-evolving production world, knowing how to wear more than one hat makes you more marketable. There are even two commercials within the newscasts to show students how commercial breaks are a part of a broadcast.
The newscast is approximately 14:30 (14 min. 30 seconds) long. It includes six stories:

The CHUH Superintendent transition, spring break plans, the importance of taking ACT/SAT,  the arrest and release of rapper 21 Savage, student reaction to the Grammy Awards show,  and a new Jordan tennis shoe that came out for NBA All Star weekend.

Junior Jimmy Bandy is the show host.

Digital Video Production is a Career and Technical Education Program at Heights High. Cynthia Booker is the teacher.
