March 22, 2019 -- The Heights United Soccer Academy (HUSA) pre-k Tiger Cub Soccer Academy registration is open now, with the session beginning April 6.
The academy is on Saturdays through May 11 from 10 to 11 a.m. in Denison Soccer Park. The cost is $65 with the option to purchase a t-shirt. You can also try one day for free; call 216-849-4505 for information. It's for preschool children ages 2 and 1/2 to five.
Tiger Cub Soccer focuses on developing soccer and social skills, as well as excitement for the game. Developmentally appropriate small group activities are incorporated with proven footskill techniques. The academy is led by Coach Sean Sullivan, Gearity science instructor and a 2018 inductee into the Cleveland Heights High School Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame. Coach Sullivan was the men’s varsity soccer head coach at Heights High from 2000-2014, and the 2012 winner of the Ron Pinsenschaum Award, the highest coaching honor in Ohio.
