March 1, 2019 -- Dr. Dixon was recently honored by the American Heart Association with one of their most prestigious national awards, the Administrator of the Year Award. Dr. Dixon was nominated along-side dozens of other administrators across the country. She was selected based upon her dedication to student health, collaboration with neighboring districts, and amazing results inspiring school communities to help fund the next breakthrough in heart research.

Dr. Dixon has dedicated her professional career to helping students from every walk of life to learn, grow and achieve to the best of their abilities. She has taken that same passion and brought it to the American Heart Association. She helped launch the Cleveland STEM Goes Red for Girls program, has spoken at the Go Red For Women Luncheons, and advocated for healthy policies across the state. She has been most active as a Superintendent Executive Leader, where she hosted a Superintendent Recruitment Breakfast to encourage her peers from districts all across Greater Cleveland to become involved with the AHA alongside CH-UH staff and students.
