Students in Ms. Fatica’s Spanish 3 honors class, 6th period with AFS exchange students: Aaliyah Payton, Almira Udjan (Philippines), Thitaporn (Parn) Satetapinyo, (Thailand), Zainab Said (Tanzania), Alyssa Vaughn, Conner Karboski, Sydney Ball and Yelena Gorjanc, (L-R).

Feb. 24, 2018 -- Several Heights High AFS exchange students were the ‘Bingo Callers’ in Olivia Fatica’s Spanish classes as the students played Multilingual Bingo.

The exchange students called the Bingo letter/number combinations in their first language and the Spanish students placed their token on the correct location on their Bingo card.

“It was a fun way to expose the students to other languages and people. Some letters and numbers were quite similar and some very different.” said Ms. Fatica. “Our exchange students spoke Zulu, Italian, Spanish, Filipino, Swahili, Thai and German. Senna Perelman used American Sign Language to interpret for her class."

“The students learned several words in several languages and made new friends,” continued Ms. Fatica.
