All Elementary and Middle Schools in the District will participate in the annual Fathers Walk 2014 on Wednesday, September 17, instead of Thursday, Sept. 18, the annual date of the Fathers Walk. CH-UH is not in school on September 18.
On Wednesday, Sept. 17, fathers are encouraged to take their kids to school and throughout the school year. Join other fathers, uncles, grandfathers, stepfathers, foster fathers, brothers and mentors as they support the education of children in their lives.
"Each school will have light refreshments for these male role-models upon arriving to our schools. This type of support just reinforces the importance of education to our children and it makes them so excited to come to school, it's really a great day for everybody," stated Superintendent Talisa L. Dixon.
The successful annual Fathers Walk 2014 includes public, private, charter and parochial schools throughout Cuyahoga County and in other Northeast Ohio counties.
