Heights High Student Attends Summer Program at Cornell University

Heights High senior Linden Wike is wrapping up three weeks of a summer program at Cornell University in New York, taking a course called Genius and Madness in Literature.

For this experience, Linden received two scholarships - a $3,000 scholarship from the Joyce Ivy Foundation (Michigan), which awards money to Midwest high school girls to pursue study at a college or university in the summer.  Cornell University matched this with a $3,000 Deans Scholarship, to cover the whole amount.

A banquet was held in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in May to honor all of the Joyce Ivy girls.  The summer program at Cornell is from July 12 – August 1.

Linden will be a senior this fall at Heights High School.
