The swim cadets have has been a club sport since the early 1940’s and is the longest continually club at the school. For over 70 years, the school has hosted a Swim Cadet Show, or as it was called in the 1940’s, The Swim Pageant.

1960's? This  photo was taken in the 'old' pool that was on the third floor, currently the Early College area. The round windows are still here - in Mrs. Lambright's room. When the new pool was built in 1962, it became the boy's pool the the old pool on the third floor became the girl's pool. The third floor girl's pool was closed in the late 1990's because  water was leaking into the surrounding structure and the damage could not be contained.
