Jan. 25, 2016 – Architects and designers from Moody Nolan hosted a visioning session with staff and students from Monticello and Roxboro Middle Schools on Monday afternoon.
The session allowed professionals from Moody Nolan, the architectural firm selected to design the middle school construction project, to hear from administrators, teachers and students about their vision for Monticello and Roxboro.
Moody Nolan project manager Anne Hartman led the group through different exercises that allowed the participants to ask questions and generate ideas for the project. Two students from each middle school were included in the discussion, and they were not shy to chime in with their opinions on the look and function of the future buildings.
The construction work at Monticello and Roxboro middle schools is slated to begin in 2017 following the completion of the renovations at Heights High School. The District is beginning the design phase of the middle school projects and will collect community input as well.
