A copy of the presentation can be downloaded here

Led by Superintendent Dr. Talisa Dixon and Assistant Superintendent Felisha Gould, more than a dozen staffers from the department, which includes Student Services, Curriculum and Instruction, Gifted, Career Tech and Early Childhood, presented their recommendations to the Board.

The team recommended the following grade configuration for CH-UH, beginning with the 2019-2020 school year:
  • Elementary schools with pre-K through 4th grade
  • One intermediate school with 5th and 6th grade
  • One middle school with 7th and 8th grade
  • One high school with 9th through 12th grade
No recommendations were made regarding which buildings would house each grade level. Based on the Educational Services Department's findings, Dr. Dixon asked for the support of the Board to move forward with planning for the new configuration.

Parents and community members are encouraged to send any questions or comments regarding the recommendations to Scott Wortman, Supervisor of Communications, at [email protected]. The Communications Department will put together an FAQ document regarding the grade configuration recommendations.
