August 8, 2018 -- A total of 31 Heights High School students were named AP Scholars for their performance on Advanced Placement (AP) exams. Class of 2018 graduates Melanie Graham and Mary Jane Reinhardt were honored with the highest distinction as National AP Scholars.

The AP Program recognizes high school students who have demonstrated outstanding college-level achievement through their performance on AP Exams.

National AP Scholar
Granted to students who receive an average score of at least 4 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams.

The AP program is administered by The College Board. Students enrolled in the college level courses take an end of course exam and receive a score of 1-5. Colleges and universities often grant advanced placement based on the AP scores.

CH-UH recently hosted its second annual AP Success Camp to help prepare students for the rigor of AP courses.
