2017 Alum Receives College-Sponsored National Merit Scholarship
Aug. 3, 2017 -- Heights High class of 2017 National Merit Finalist Charles Adams recently received a college-sponsored scholarship through the National Merit Scholarship (NMS) Foundation program.
He received the award from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio where he will attend this fall.
At Heights High Charlie was a member of the National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, the Career and Technical Education Computer Networking program and the varsity soccer, hockey and baseball team.
His enrollment and achievement in 10 AP courses earned him the National AP Scholar award. In the spring he was selected for an internship in the information technology department at Progressive Insurance.
Charles will be a member of the baseball team at Kenyon College. He is undecided about a major course of study.
