Sept. 7, 2017 -- September is National Library Card Sign Up month, and Heights Libraries are celebrating by forgiving fines on library cards of kids 18 and under. It’s called a Card for Every Kid and runs September 1-30.
The libraries are encouraging every child in the Cleveland Heights-University Heights community to sign up for a free library card so they can gain access to the abundance of books and learning resources available in the county’s libraries. Children under 18 years old who already have library cards, but owe fines, will also be invited to take advantage of one-time fine forgiveness anytime during the month of September.
