The 2017 Homecoming Recap!
Heights Student Council in paradeOct. 9, 2017 -- The Heights Homecoming Celebration, October 6-8, featured a high energy school pep rally, community parade down Lee Road, football game, school open house and a fun run.

On Friday the school day culminated with an all-school pep rally organized by the Student Council, Kennethian Brown, advisor.

The event included a recognition of all fall athletic teams and many clubs and an award presentation by American Family Insurance to senior football player Tyreke Smith. He was selected to play in the Under Armour All-American game in January.

The Homecoming Court was presented to the student body:

Radio DJ KY from 107.9 emceed a dance off and played popular music that had many students singing along and bleacher dancing.

A few hours later the parade stepped off from Fairfax School on the new route down Lee Road.

Two Cleveland Heights Bicycle Police Officers led the parade, followed by the fabulous Heights High Marching Band and many student and community groups.

The award winning parade participant was the Transportation Department, whose entry included a decorated school bus, candy thrown from the open windows and a dance team leading the bus.

The football game Friday evening was a loss to Bedford, 48-42.

On Saturday night the Student Council sponsored a dance that was well attended and lively.

On Sunday, the City of Cleveland Heights sponsored the Happy 5K & 10K run, with the largest turnout in the three year history of the event.
