Cosmetology student
Nov. 8, 2017 -- The Heights High Cosmetology Program Salon is officially open for business!

Community members are invited to review the services offered and call for an appointment.

The salon is now located at Heights High after 23 years at the Delisle Center, formerlly Taylor School.

The Cosmetology students perform the services with the supervision of Mrs. Pollard and Ms. Munore.

The salon is open from 12:35 - 2:30 p.m. with expanded morning hours coming in January.

The Heighits Salon offers a variety of services including cuts, color, manicures and pedicures.

The new salon space includes 24 hair stations, four shampoo stations, six manicure/pedicure stations, one pedicure chair with massage and heat controls, one facial station and a dispensary with washing machines.

“It is important for students to work with clients so they can gain experience and practice their techniques while being supervised,” said Mrs. Pollard.

“And, our students really enjoy meeting our community members.”
The Cosmetology students helped with the Shrek, the Musical show by styling several wigs and applying makeup for the actors.

“Students who enter the cosmetology field can pursue opportunities in many areas,” continued Mrs. Pollard.
