Nov. 9, 2017 -- The CH-UH Board of Education will hold public tours of Monticello and Roxboro middle schools for its next work session on Wednesday, Nov. 15. The public is invited to join the Board on these tours.
The work session will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Board of Education offices in University Heights. After two business items and a brief executive session, Board members will leave at 6:30 p.m. on a school bus to Monticello.
The public is invited to ride the bus or meet the tour group at each site. The bus will take guests to Roxboro for a tour and then back to the BOE offices upon completion.
This work session will allow Board members, along with members of the Bond Accountability Commission (BAC), to assess the condition of each building. The Board is expected to vote on the GMP (guaranteed maximum price) from Turner Construction at its regular meeting on Dec. 19.
The renovations on Monticello and Roxboro are scheduled to begin in March 2018 and be completed in June 2019.
