Oxford 5th Graders Host "Heroes Breakfast"
Sept. 15, 2017 -- Fifth grade students and teachers at Oxford Elementary held a "Heroes Breakfast" on Thursday, September 7. Students were encouraged to invite a "hero" in their life to come and have breakfast with them at school.
This hero is someone who inspires them and encourages them to be the most amazing kid they can be. Students invited parents, siblings, teachers, staff members, friends, community members, and family members.
Students enjoyed a yummy breakfast with their hero and took some fun pictures in the photo booth. During the breakfast students created a list of "superhero" qualities that their hero possesses and used their words to encourage their hero. It was a truly inspiring day for all involved!
