PSAT - Pre-College Entrance Test
PSAT and pencils clip artSept. 30, 2017 -- All 10th & 11th grade students will take the The PSAT exam on Wednesday, October 11, 8:15 – 11:55 a.m.

There is no charge for this test.

The PSAT qualifies students for scholarships, is best practice for the SAT college entrance test, provides an option to receive information from colleges and feedback about areas of needed improvement.

There will be a meeting for seniors at 11:30 a.m. with information about important dates and deadline for graduation and senior class activities.

Freshman should be in the building by 11:50 a.m.

The school day will begin at noon for periods 4-8.

The PSAT Details
It is extremely important that each student reports directly to his/her assigned classroom by 8:05 a.m.
Testing begins promptly at 8:15 a.m.

Counselors will post the testing location lists outside each grade level office and in the main hallway. There will be no make-ups for this national exam.

PSAT Schedule 8:15. - 11:55 a.m.
Period 4:     12:00 - 12:31 p.m.
Period 5:     12:35. - 1:06 p.m.
Period 6:     1:10 - 1:41 p.m.
Period 7:      1:45 - 2:16 p.m.
Period 8:       2:20 - 2:56 p.m.

The counselors will distribute the Official Student Guide to the PSAT/NMSQT booklets prior to the test date in American History and Government classes.

The booklet includes a practice test and other test preparation tips.

On the test day, all students will need #2 pencils, and an approved College Board calculator (see page 28 of The Student Guide for approved calculator models).

Parents: Please make sure your student receives a good night’s rest before the test, eats a healthy breakfast and arrives to school a few minutes early.
