Dec. 8, 2017 -- Winter-themed artwork created by Roxboro Elementary School students greets shoppers at Appletree Books in Cleveland Heights.
The display titled "Winter Shimmer, Color, and Light in the Heights” was created by fifth graders, kindergartners, and students in Mrs. Spainhoward's class and will be up during the months of December and January.
According to art teacher Sheri Fried, the project and display aligns well with the school's International Baccalaureate curriculum; a major part of being an IB student is making connections with community.
There will be an artist reception to celebrate the students on December 12 from 3:30-5.
