Dec. 5, 2018 -- Heights High Administrative Assistant Angie Cooper won the Excellence in Skill award at the four day October Office Dynamics Stellar Assistant professional development conference in Las Vegas. The conference drew more than 350 administrative assistants from across the country.

Attendance at the conference was part of the CHUH Helping Hand of the Year award that Ms. Cooper received last May.

“I was really excited to go to the conference because I want to learn new skills and also I thought it would be good to be with others who are in similar roles,” said Ms. Cooper.

The award was one of four presented at the conference and was based on the statement submitted  by the attendee’s supervisor.

Heights High Sophomore Class and Early College Principal Alisa McKinnie submitted a statement about Ms. Cooper that highlighted her skills.

“Angie is a huge asset to our school and should be recognized for her skill set. She responsible for managing my office, the school’s payroll and for providing direction to Heights High substitute teachers. She is our ‘go-to’ person and consistently meets deadlines and milestones. Her customer service skills are exemplary. She embraces additional responsibilities and handles new roles with professionalism,” wrote Dr. McKinnie in part of the statement.

“I was happy to win this award and appreciate the opportunity to attend the conference,” said Ms. Cooper. “I learned so many things and I look forward to learning more!”

The other awards presented at the conference were for Positive Attitude, Teamwork and Strategy.
