Board of Education Elects New Leadership for 2019
Board meeting on Jan. 8, 2019
Jan. 9, 2019 -- The Cleveland Heights-University Heights Board of Education elected its leaders for the upcoming year during its annual organizational meeting on Tuesday in University Heights.

Jodi Sourini was voted in as the new President. Sourini served as Vice President in her first year on the Board of Education in 2018.

Outgoing President Jim Posch was chosen as the new Vice President. Posch is in his fourth year on the Board of Education.

Beverly Wright was chosen as Treasurer Pro Tem, which means she would fill in for CH-UH Treasurer Scott Gainer if he were absent at a Board meeting. Wright is in her fourth year on the Board of Education, and this will mark her second year serving as Treasurer Pro Tem.

All three officers were unanimously elected.

Dan Heintz and Malia Lewis enter their second year serving as members of the CH-UH Board of Education.

The Board members were recognized during the regular business meeting as part of the Ohio School Boards Association’s School Board Recognition Month in January.
