April 22, 2019 -- After listening to guest speakers and studying the women's suffrage movement, students in Ms. Petty's fourth grade class at Fairfax researched women throughout history that they admired and were inspired by, from Elizabeth Cady Stanton to Michelle Obama.
The students worked with guest speaker and parent Naomi Rendina, who is a history professor at Tri-C. Ms. Rendina is also working on her doctorate in Women’s Studies at Case Western Reserve University.
Finally, students chose quotes from the historical women that resonated personally with them to create a short video in honor of women everywhere.
