Kids

Recycled Robots
Tuesday, Feb. 5, 4:30 p.m. at the Coventry Branch, 1925 Coventry Road
Join us as we use recycled materials and our creativity to build zany robots.

Children's African American Read In
Wednesday, Feb. 6, 3:30 p.m. at the Noble Branch, 2800 Noble Road
At this special event, volunteers from the community will be reading and sharing children's books featuring African American characters and authors. Join us for this open hour of literacy, socializing, and sharing.

Great Lakes Theater Classics on Tour: Treasure Island
Sunday, Feb. 10, 2 p.m. at the Lee Road branch, 2345 Lee Road
What is the price of adventure? Venture out on the high seas with young Jim Hawkins as he searches for the lost treasure of Captain Flint. A brave band of actors embrace clowning, slapstick, puppetry, and music in the greatest pirate story ever told!

Reading & Rescues
Sunday, Feb. 17, 1 p.m. at the University Heights branch, 13866 Cedar Road
Looking for a new best friend? How about a great new book? The library and City Dogs are partnering up again to bring you both! Come for an afternoon of stories, crafts, and dogs looking for a home of their own.

Book Cafe

Is there a book you just LOVE? Tell us all about it! At this program, teens will share their favorite books with one another while enjoying snacks. For ages 13-18.

LAF: Mystery Movie Theater
Thursday, Feb. 21, 3:30 at the University Heights branch, 13866 Cedar Road
Grab a bag of popcorn, kick back, and take in a movie. Maybe it'll be the newest superhero film! Maybe it'll be a hilariously bad horror! You won't find out until the movie starts. For ages 10 and up.

DIY Afterschool Snacks
Wednesday, Feb. 27, 4 p.m. at the Noble Branch, 2800 Noble Road
Learn about science and nutrition with Chef Marie! Teens will put together snacks they can easily replicate at home, and we will have a tasting party together. Registration begins February 13 online
