Mar. 8, 2018 -- Fairfax second grader Brock Mueller is the Cleveland Cavaliers All-Star Kid for the month of February!
On February 9, Brock's family, along with Cavs emcee Ahmaad Crump and mascot Moondog, surprised him in class with the award. He was nominated for the award by second grade teacher Marisa Pollutro.
"Brock follows our school's IB learner profile perfectly," Ms. Pollutro wrote in her nomination. "He is a thinker, an inquirer, open-minded with everyone, caring about his work and his relationships, a risk-taker when challenging his mind, principled when no one is looking (he wants no praise, he just does the right thing because he knows it's the right thing to do), he is knowledgeable when asking and answering questions about what he reads, he knows how to communicate with others to foster positive relationships, and he is a balanced young man."
