AFS Host Families Needed for Next School Year
Heights High AFS students with Principal Williams
March 8, 2018 -- If you and your family want to bring a different culture into your home next school year, please consider hosting an AFS foreign exchange student. Learn more about the opportunity at the AFS Hosting Info Meeting, Friday, March 16, 7:00 p.m. in the Heights High Mini-Auditorium.

Current host families and exchange students will be at the meeting to talk about their experience.

AFS (formerly called American Field Service) is a well established program that was started after World War II to promote peace and international understanding.

For 60 years, Heights High families have hosted AFS students.

An AFS host family can be a single adult, married couple or retired, with high school students or not. Families can host a student for short-term 8-10 weeks, a semester or a school year.

Families with students who are interested in going on an AFS exchange are also invited to the meeting.

For more information, contact Carla Bailey, AFS volunteer and Sponsored Programs Coordinator.
