Freshman Publishes Second Book
Mar. 22, 2018 -- Keenan Barnes is a typical ninth grader in many ways, he loves horror movies, haunted houses, the Hunger Games and Divergent book trilogies and writing.
But, unlike many teens his age, he is a published author. In February he published the second book in a trilogy, The Resurged One, Evil Has Come to Destroy Us part of his Pale One trilogy. The first book in the trilogy was published in the fall of 2016.
He is an avid reader and has been writing fiction for several years. “I’ve always been interested in the horror genre and trilogies, he said.
His favorite school subject is history. He also enjoys his art class and is a member of the Poetry Club.
Keenan and his publisher, Ebony Webster, owner of Dream Writer Communications and Publishing, were recently interviewed on WKYC TV 3.
Keenan’s first book is about Ryan, a boy who is recovering from the death of his father and moves to a new house with his mother. He attends a new school and meets friends. After encountering an eerie creature, he is desperate to learn more about it and the disappearance of local children. The second book features a camping trip and more mystery.
